The Prestons — Bolton, UK
Heritage reconnected to today’s workspace
RAVA Interiors approached the historically valuable Prestons of Bolton building with a vision to reconnect heritage with contemporary workspace culture. Founded in 1869, the former jewellery store is now a multifunctional environment that brings together a café, shared coworking zones, and private offices.
The ground floor is a modern café for interaction and public engagement; the upper levels use movable partitions and modular systems so the floor can shift between uses. Rather than a simple renovation, this is a holistic strategy that respects the memory of the place while redefining its function.
